Papa Pear Saga is currently one of the most quickly growing games on the App Store. Here is a troubleshooting guide for people using iOS (iPhone or iPad). For the game to be supported, you need to use iOS version 4.3.5 or later and be on one of the following devices:
- iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S and iPhone 5
- iPad 2 and later models and iPad Mini
- iPod Touch: 3rd generation (and later models)
Does your game keep freezing?
Usually memory issues on your device causes the game freeze/crash. The best way to fix these issues is to restart your device, which clears the memory (this will not cause any loss of data). If this does not help, please contact King.com’s support team.
Did you purchase a game from the shop but didn’t get it?
This can be caused by weak or no Internet connection. After you’ve completed a purchase, the App Store must send a “Purchase OK” message to Candy Crush Saga in order to confirm that your payment was successful. If you loose your Internet connection at this point, the purchase may not be processed. If you experience this problem, complete these steps:
1. Go to the Home screen of the game.
2. Tap on the “Settings” icon.
3. Tap on “Restore purchases” to restore your App Store purchases.
If that doesn’t work for you, look at whether you’ve received a mail from Apple via the App Store. If you’ve gotten one for your purchase, it should include an App Store receipt. If you’ve gotten an email with the corresponding receipt, but cannot locate the download of your purchase, reach out to Apple directly via the email, which has your receipt in it. In that email there should be a link with a text saying, “Report a problem”.
If I try to reinstall the game, will I lose my progress?
If you have played the game whilst connected to Facebook, your progress will be stored on your Facebook account and will not be lost. However, if you have played the game offline (not connected to Facebook), your progress will be saved locally, on the device, and will be lost when the application is deleted or the phone restored to factory settings.
Did your friends send you lives but the game still says you have 5 lives when it should be more?
The maximum amount of lives you can have is 5 at one given time. So if you have a full set of (5) lives and a friend sends you an additional life, you will still only have 5 lives.
Can’t connect Candy Crush Saga with Facebook?
Then try these different solutions:
a) You may have blocked Papa Pear Saga from your computer. If you try to fix this on your iPad or iPhone it won’t work. You need to go to Settings within Facebook on your computer. Select “Blocking”. Then scroll down to “Blocking Apps” and find Papa Pear Saga in the list. Select “Unblock”.
b) Completely close out of both Facebook and the Papa Pear Saga app. You do this by double tapping the Home button on the iPhone or iPad. Watch for the window to appear at the bottom of the screen. These are your currently open apps. Tap and hold the Papa Pear Saga app until the red “-” appears at the top left side of the app and then close it out. If Facebook is also open, repeat on that app as well. Once those are closed, go to “Settings” and then “Facebook” and slide off the Papa Pear Saga app. Then slide it back on. Finally, reopen Papa Pear Saga and you should now be able to connect to Facebook.
c) Sometimes it looks like you are signed in to Facebook on your iPad or iPhone device because you are able to go on Facebook on the device, but in fact you actually aren’t. Go to “Settings” on your device and go to “Facebook”. Then see if you are signed in officially. If you are not, then enter your username (email) and password and you’ll be signed in and able to synchronize Papa Pear Saga on your mobile device with Facebook.
d) Have you recently changed your password on Facebook? In order for your device, and thereby Candy Crush to be able to log in, you need to go to “Settings” on your device and then reenter you password under “Facebook”.
